As the fall TV season is almost upon us, The Hollywood Reporter breaks down the 20 most anticipated new and returning TV shows coming in September. Here are the first 10:

  • The Deuce, HBO, September 9. The gritty 1970s porn drama from The Wirecreator David Simon is back for its third and final season. 
  • The Kelly Clarkson Show, check local listings, September 9. The Grammy winner and former American Idol champ gets her shot at the competitive daytime talk show circuit. The show will air on NBC affiliates in most cities.
  • A Very Brady Renovation, HGTV, September 9. The original Brady kids--actors Susan Olsen, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Maureen McCormick, Eve Plumb and Mike Lookinland--reunite to oversee renovation of the Studio City, California, home that served as the setting for the '70s show. 
  • Undone, Amazon, September 13. A new animated series from Bojack Horsemancreators Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy, which involves time manipulation and uses rotoscope animation.
  • Unbelievable, Netflix, September 13. This limited series is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Marshall Project which follows a teen who lied about being raped, and two female detectives that worked the case.
  • Dancing With the Stars, ABC, September 16. The venerable celebrity dancing competition show returns for its 28th season.
  • A Little Late With Lilly Singh, NBC, September 17. NBC turns to YouTube star Singh to replace Carson Daly in the 1:30 a.m. late night time slot. 
  • American Horror Story: 1984, FX, September 18. The anthology horror series is back for its ninth season, this time with a take on '80s style slasher films like Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween.
  • Bob Hearts Abishola, CBS, September 23. The latest sitcom from Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre, about a blue-collar white guy who falls for a Nigerian nurse. 
  • Emergence, ABC, September 24. This thriller stars Allison Tolman as a police chief who takes in an amnesiac child at the center of a conspiracy.
