Demi Lovato 'determined to stay motivated, sober' 1 year after overdose

April 15, 2019

Demi Lovato is "Confident" she can stay sober almost one year after her near-fatal overdose.

"Demi is determined to stay motivated and sober,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She knows at the end of the day, everything is reliant on her own decision-making process...[She's] committed to her schedule, working out and staying away from negative influences to stay healthy."

Besides focusing on her health, she's also focusing on loved ones. “She’s keeping her family very close,” the insider adds. “They’re helping her get through everything." Lovato was rushed to an L.A. hospital last July after overdosing at her Hollywood home. She'd celebrated six years of sobriety last March but revealed in the lyrics of her June 2018 song “Sober" that she had relapsed.
