Bikes for Tykes 2018

KMOX, Y98, NOW963, FM NewsTalk 97.1 and St. Louis’ Official Christmas Station, 102.5 KEZK Present: Bikes for Tykes 2018, benefiting Toys for Tots!
 
In partnership with the United States Marine Corps (USMC), Semper Fi Society, Toys for Tots and our community partners, the inaugural year of the 48-hour Bikes for Tykes drive will take place from 3:00 pm Friday, December 14th until 3:00 pm Sunday, December 16th in the HH Gregg parking lot at Gravois Bluffs.
Leading up to and during the 48-hour drive, we will be collecting NEW toys, bikes and helmets for children of all ages and then provide them to the USMC Toys for Tots program for distribution throughout the St. Louis Metro area in Missouri and Illinois.
 
Partner Collection Sites and Details:
 
Long-standing Toys for Tots partner, Sugarfire Smokehouse will be featuring a “Toys on Tuesdays” special every Tuesday from November 13th until December 11th at ALL Sugarfire locations. With the purchase of the Tuesday special, Sugarfire will donate 50% of the total proceed from sales to the Bikes for Tykes / Toys for Tots program. You can also donate new, unwrapped toys at ANY Sugarfire Smokehouse location.
 
For every new Chevrolet sold at Jim Butler Chevrolet, from November 13th until December 14th, Jim Butler will donate a bike to Bikes for Tykes! Buyers also have the option to add an additional bike donation during the closing of their vehicle purchase. Also, Jim Butler Chevrolet will be accepting new bike donations at the Fenton Chevy store through December 14th. See dealership for full details.
 
You can donate to the Bikes for Tykes campaign at any of the 62 SSM Health Physical Therapy locations from Monday, Nov 12th until Sunday, Dec 2nd. SSM Health Physical Therapy is the Official Helmet Partner of Bikes for Tykes and funds collected at all locations will be used to help purchase NEW helmets to accompany the NEW bikes from the Bikes for Tykes campaign.
 
St. Louis Area Lion’s Choice locations will be collecting donations for Bikes for Tykes through a round up at the register program from November 17th until Sunday, December 2nd. You can donate any amount you choose right at the register at Lion’s Choice and the funds collected at all locations will be used to help purchase NEW bikes for the Bikes for Tykes campaign
 
In addition to NEW bikes and helmets, monetary donations that will be used to purchase more bikes will be accepted onsite by the USMC on Dec 14th, 15th and 16th. Bikes and helmets can be purchased anywhere – they do not have to come from our retail partners. However, all donated bikes and helmets need to be NEW – we will not be accepting used donations this year.
 
If you would like to donate NEW toys to the Toys for Tots campaign, you can bring them to the Bikes for Tykes drive or you can donate at any of our featured partner locations until December 14th, 2018.
 

Walmart in Gravois Bluffs - across Highway 141 from the Bikes for Tykes drive location - will be stocked with bikes at great prices! Staff members will be outside the store at varying hours all weekend long, providing transport up the hill to the Bikes for Tykes drive for any bikes donated.


KMOX 1120, Y98, NOW963, FM NewsTalk 97.1 and 102.5 KEZK staff and personalities will be onsite throughout the drive, broadcasting LIVE and working alongside our Community Partners and volunteer assembly teams to put bikes together that arrive in boxes or not fully assembled.
