'If I were to write a movie about a hockey team...' local reporter's viral Facebook post

"I'd begin with a team that has never won the Stanley Cup and hasn't been to the finals in nearly 50 years."

ST. LOUIS (KYKY) -- St. Louisans woke up this morning in disbelief that last night's game wasn't a dream. After the Blues slayed the sharks with a score of 5-1, the city roared in victory for their underdog team.

They've been given a second chance to play the very team that beat them in the Stanley Cup Final after 49 years but with hopes of a very different outcome and their fans couldn't be more excited. Amongst these fans is local news reporter, John Brown, who has continued to keep the momentum going.

His viral facebook post describes an ideal hockey screenplay which, "coincidentally," is a play by play of the Blues' journey this past season.

With over 14,000 shares in less than 12 hours, the post has expanded across the city.

This morning Courtney and Company featured his post on the show.

Throughout the post, it's clear that the Blues have been through every possible test and come out the other side stronger than before. John Brown himself is a native Missourian who, like so many local residents, has seen the Blues climb their way from the bottom to the top.

With how quickly the post is expanding, it's evident St. Louisans would be in support of this dream movie being turned into a box office hit.
