Krispy Kreme Giving Healthcare Workers Free Doughnuts Every Monday Until May

March 28, 2020

The medical community has been working overtime to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, and many businesses have been wanting to show their appreciation and gratitude.

Krispy Kreme announced they will be providing healthcare workers with free dozens of donuts every Monday for the next two months.

The promotion fittingly kicks off on Monday, March 30, which is also “National Doctors’ Day,” and continues through “National Nurses Week,” which runs May 6 through the 12.

Healthcare providers who want to take advantage of the sweet promotion simply have to show their badge at the drive-thru and specify how many Original Glazed Doughnuts they’d like.

The chain also wants to spread some love and positivity during this anxiety-ridden, self-isolating time.

Starting this Saturday, they’ll be offering a special free “Be Sweet Saturdays" promotion for all customers. That’s right, you don’t have to be in the medical field to take part in this one.

To activate this promotion, you have to purchase a dozen or more full-price Original Glazed Doughnuts and an additional dozen will be on the house!

If that seems like a lot of doughnuts for one person, it kind of is, that’s why the free-of-charge dozen will include the “Smiley Face” doughnut that will be packed individually in a sealed bag, which makes it perfect for a contactless drop-off with a neighbor or loved one.

Bring a smile (or smiley doughnut) to someone to brighten up their day! It’s Krispy Kreme’s version of “pay it forward.”

All offers are available via pick-up, delivery, or drive-thru. Prior to visiting a Krispy Kreme location, make note of the local shops' adjusted hours.

Krispy Kreme isn’t the only chain honoring medical employees.

Starbucks recently announced that they’ll be giving free coffee to healthcare employees and first responders during the coronavirus pandemic.

The famous coffee company announced that through May 3, "any customer who identifies as a first responder or frontline worker supporting our healthcare system" will receive a free tall coffee, either hot or iced.
