Despite Meryl Streep’s claims that “not everybody knew” about Harvey Weinstein’s boorish behavior, it appears that much of Hollywood was very aware of what was going on. In a season-six episode of 30 Rock penned by Tina Fey that aired in 2012, Jane Krakowski’s character Jenna Maroney declares that she isn’t afraid of anybody in show business. “I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions…out of five,” she says. Meanwhile, back in the early 2000s, Entourage featured a hot-tempered producer named Harvey Weingard (played by Maury Chaykin) that was based on Weinstein. The series portrayed “Weingard” as an awful but hugely influential figure in Hollywood who could destroy the career of anybody who displeased him.
The most recent victim to encounter Weinstein was actress Cara Delevingne:
