Earlier this week, I received a press release from my good friends at Purina about a new exhibit they have, “Better with Pets: Discover Life with Dogs and Cats”. What a great name for an exhibit!
Here are the details:
The family-friendly exhibit is free to the public and features educational experiences:
*A closer look at pets’ unique nutritional needs through an over-sized model of a dog and cat tongue demonstrating how pets taste and consume food as well as a matching game pairing nutrients with the pets’ body systems they support.
*A MorphMe tool that combines the images of a person and the breed of dog or cat they are most like into one hybrid image
*A look into the digestive systems of pets to distinguish between helpful and harmful foods
*An area to watch touching videos about people and their pet helpers and a station that allows guest to submit their own illustrated personal stories about their favorite companions.
*A touchscreen to share lessons learned from pets in thought bubbles for all to see. An eye-opening representation of the current pet overpopulation issue and a scan station showing the importance of microchipping in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
Also, each guest through the exhibit space this season will have the opportunity to help pets in need. Admission to Purina Farms, and the new exhibit, is free.
